Statement of Purpose

The Medical Practice Managers Section of the Medical Society of New Jersey has been formed as a means for the practice managers within the state to have a voice and resource center for the assimilation and dissemination of information vital to the continued growth of medical practices. It offers opportunity for networking, the sharing of ideas and a platform for the voice of the medical practices throughout the state of New Jersey.

History

Practice managers are the lifeblood of the physician’s office. Along with overseeing the logistics for patient care, they often make financial decisions that determine the practice’s efficiency and viability.

In December 2000, the Medical Society of New Jersey became the first state medical society to create a special section just for practice managers of MSNJ member physicians. It has grown into a vibrant 400-plus-person section working to meet the needs of the modern physician practice.

Who can be a member?

Any staff member of an MSNJ dues-paying member physician in good standing is eligible to join the MPMS.

The annual dues are only $60, which includes free or reduced admission to various education seminars, access to all sections of the MSNJ website, and updates on pending developments that affect your practice.

To become a member download an application and fax the completed form to Sharon Kakas-Cosma at 609.896.1347.

The MPMS is governed by an advisory panel.  Panelists for 2008-2009 are:
