HIGHMARK: Medical Director Addresses MSNJ on MAC Transition
Andrew Bloschichak, MD, MBA, VP and Medical Director, Highmark Medicare Services, addressed the MSNJ House of Delegates on Saturday, April 12 to discuss the transition from Empire to Highmark, the company that has been awarded the Medicare administrative contract (MAC) in New Jersey. He alerted members to the fifty-seven draft local coverage determination (LCD) policies on which Highmark is seeking comments by May 15. This is important information for any physician with a Medicare population.
