    This internet enduring material meets the NJ BME re-licensure requirement for two (2) of the required (40) forty Category 1 credits be in topics concerning in End of Life Care.  

    These videos (2) are approved for use as an independent study.  In order to receive credit you must view both videos and complete the post-activity questions and evaluation form.  You must achieve minimum score of 80% on the post-test in order to receive credit.

    • Identify the importance of advance care planning related to communication and matching treatment plans to goals of care.
    • List and explain the 6 Steps for talking about serious news.
    • Formulate a strategy for discussing transitions to End of Life Care & code status with patients.
    • Develop a plan for resolving conflicts in End of Life Care.
    • Integrate POLST into patient care.
    • Recognize the legal ramifications for non-compliance with POLST, Advance Directives and EOL decision making.
