A Message from the President of MSNJ

By: Melissa Zarzycki on May 19, 2017

My name is Chris Gribbin. I am an interventional radiologist with University Radiology, a group of more than 140 radiologists.  It was my honor and privilege to be inaugurated as the Medical Society of New Jersey's 225th President on May 6, 2017. I was accompanied by my wife, Dorota Gribbin, a physiatrist, who practices as a solo physician in Princeton, New Jersey. Our daughter, Caitie, has answered the call of medicine and is in her third year of medical school. Among us, we are keenly aware of the many challenges facing physicians in New Jersey.

While we physicians are professionally happy, we are often discouraged by the daily grind of administrative burdens, pressure from payers, punishing economic constraints and long work hours, all of which detract from the practice of medicine. During my presidency we will focus on removing these burdens, as best we can, so we can all spend more time doing what we do best - delivering great care to our patients. Read my statement to the House of Delegates for more information about my priorities.

I will need your help and am urging you to become more involved in organized medicine. Please let me know if you have served on other non-profit healthcare related boards and are willing to share your experiences with me. I also urge you to update your physician profile on the MSNJ web site with your preferred e-mail address so that we may communicate with you directly.

Finally, if you are interested in serving on MSNJ's Policy & Strategy Panel, please let me know before June 4.

    Please correspond with me at
