2006 Checks Sent

On October 18, 2006, the Department of Banking and Insurance Commissioner Steven M. Goldman announced that year's subsidies were being distributed to 1,272 eligible physicians.

The payments were based on expenditures for medical malpractice liability insurance among physicians in the eligible specialties. Qualified physicians would receive the following: neurosurgeons would each receive $17,821; obstetricians would each receive $16,006; and qualified radiologists would receive $5,753.
