PACs: Contribute to Pro-Healthcare Candidates
The healthcare issues raised on this website will ultimately be resolved by legislative action. It is critical that you make your voice heard above the trial attorneys and insurance companies. Only with a collective, unified voice will the pro-medicine message be heard. Support candidates who support access to quality care by contributing to MedAC, the Medical Action Committee.
Contributions to MedAC/AMPAC are not deductible for federal income tax purposes. Voluntary political contributions by individuals to MedAC/AMPAC should be written on personal checks. Funds from corporations will be used for political education activities and/or state election activities where allowed. Contributions are not limited to suggested amounts. $100 of the suggested contribution amount is transmitted to AMPAC for physicians and $10 for a student or resident. Neither the AMA nor its constituent state associations will favor or disadvantage anyone based upon the amounts of or failure to make PAC contributions. Voluntary political contributions are subject to limitations of FEC regulations.
